Baltimore Foodie Engagement- Allison & Patrick - Maryland Wedding Photographer
I love fun and creative people… When Allison and Patrick emailed me and said they wanted to do a Foodie style engagement session I was stoked! They sent me a list of all their favorite spots and we made a plan…
Allison & Patrick’s story started in Baltimore. The were at a work party when Allison finally went up to Patrick and asked him to go to for biscuit sandwiches at Blacksauce Kitchen . After that moment a new weekend tradition began of visits to the Baltimore farmers market.
Allison & Patrick only had 36 hours that they were going to be in Baltimore and of course the forecast was calling for rain the entire weekend. They were absolute troopers and didn’t let that change our plans. We planned on starting our shoot at Union Brewery. We grabbed a few beers and thanks to the friendly employees we were able to sneak into the private event room for a few shots. Here I also learned how competitive Allison is… and got to see her victory dance.
After Union Brewing we went over to Woodberry Kitchen. One of their absolute favorite places. When they lived in Baltimore they were regulars at the bar. We got there a bit early so we walked around Clipper Mill for a bit in the rain. Once we were inside Woodberry Kitchen of course Allison & Patrick had to order Maryland’s famous Oysters!
After Woodberry Kitchen we went over the Miracle on 24th Street. No Hampden Engagement session would be complete without it!
For Day Two we met up in the morning. They were regulars at the farmers market in Baltimore. They started every Sunday morning at Zekes Coffee . Getting up their energy before heading to Blacksauce for a biscuit sandwich. After filling their stomach they would split up. One grabbing enough donuts for each of them to take to the hospital the other picking up what they needed for the week. They picked up fresh veggies when they were in season, milk and meats. Since it was the end of the season the market was a little quieter. Allison and Patrick browsed the booth wishing that they could bring more of their favorite products on the plane with them home. They left the market with Zeke’s coffee and honey mushrooms.
After the market we headed down by the Baltimore Museum of Industry so we could get some photos in front of the iconic Domino’s Sugar Sign. We also made a stop at the Hampden sign in their old neighborhood. But the best was still yet to come!
You had me at hot dog… was the answer I gave Allison and Patrick when they told me their idea for their engagement session… Another one of Allison & Patrick’s favorite places is the Haute Dog Carte. They raved about this place for two days till we got there. And I have to admit I have been thinking about going back since we left ! The hot dogs and the owner are AMAZING! And it was the perfect ending to their two day engagement session!
