Peabody Library Wedding - Paige and Colin - Baltimore Wedding Photographer

“You are the finest, loveliest, tenderest, and more beautiful person I have ever known - and even that is an understatement” - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Want to fall in love with two people… Meet Paige & Colin.

Two of the kindest most adventurous souls I have ever met! Well, Colin is extremely adventurous. Paige is still working up to Colin. But we are getting there ! Walking on the frozen reflecting pool and playing on bird scooters… Two big steps!!

I also need mention they have the best most addicting instagram stories ever. (You need to follow them @Paigearin @Weinburgler and of course their pup Brody @Brodykingofbeasts) . I spent hours instagram stalking their amazing honeymoon in Japan. Their stories had delicious food and drinks, weird signs, a crazy Mario Kart ride, and sunrise at temples in places that I couldn’t spell if I tried. The only thing they were missing was… me !! But we will work on that for their next trip.

Paige & Colin got married at the amazing George Peabody Library in Baltimore, Maryland. There is no venue more perfect for two book lovers.

The day started out with Paige and her girls getting ready with the fabulous artists from Up Do’s from I do’s and make-up by Kelly Unthank. While the guys hung out at Hotel Revival a few blocks from the venue with their pup Brody.

As Paige put on her dress a whole 1950’s glam bride came out. She looked stunning with her red hair dropping over her shoulder. While her mom helped her get ready her best friend and maid of honor sat in the corner trying to hold back tears. When we went out to see the rest of the girls their mouths just dropped with how beautiful Paige looked.

“One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was seeing Colin at our first look. You saw his face! LOL. It made me feel really special and that moment was definitely the most beautiful I have ever felt. “ -Paige

What I loved most about Paige and Colin’s first look was that I got to witness the moment Colin saw how beautiful Paige looked. He turned around with just a smile that all a sudden went to a oh wow! It was such a beautiful moment!

Want to hear how Colin proposed… I’m warning you… you are going to say… damn that is romantic… I wish my man had thought of that ;) .

The story goes as such… Paige’s Mom and Dad got married on Lake Lucerne in Wisconsin many many years ago. Her dad always promised her mom that some day he would take her to Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. Sadly, he never got to take her there…

Fast forward… Colin had a business trip in Switzerland so he asked Paige to join him. Knowing that Lake Lucerne meant something to Paige and her Mother he decided this was the place he was going to propose. So he called up Paige’s mom to ask for permission and then told her that he wanted to pay for her to join them in Switzerland so that she could be there when he proposed to Paige.

Colin rents a boat and Paige’s mom flies in to Switzerland. He tells her that there is a room underneath the boat for her to hide in till after he proposes. As soon as she says yes her mom will come out of the cabin and surprise Paige. Which is what happened…

A beautiful, meaningful proposal that Paige’s mom has said has earned Colin a lifetime of Brownie points with her!

Even with all their guests in attendance we stood in library style silence. You could hear a pin drop. They stood under a simple Chuppah surrounded by first editions, history, and classic literature they said their vows. Their readers read poems about how love is like owning a dog. Ever fitting for two dog lovers !

On cold winter nights, love is warm.
It lies between you and lives and breathes
and makes funny noises.
Love wakes you up all hours of the night with its needs.
It needs to be fed so it will grow and stay healthy.

Is love good all the time? No! No!
Love can be bad. Bad, love, bad! Very bad love.

Love makes messes.
Love leaves you little surprises here and there.
Love needs lots of cleaning up after.
Sometimes you just want to get love fixed.
Sometimes you want to roll up a piece of newspaper
and swat love on the nose,
not so much to cause pain,
just to let love know Don’t you ever do that again!

After their kiss we let Jodi with ETC Coordinators and The Classic Catering people take the wheel and transform the room into an stunning reception site. Jodi is absolutely amazing and really transformed the venue into a magical place. Of course with the help of Springvale florist!

While they got ready we went out to play for a bit.

The red lipstick came on and it was time for the party to start… And let me tell you… it was quite the party with the Sterling band from New York rocking the house! What an amazing night… What an amazing couple!
