The Mansion at Valley Country Club Wedding - Baltimore Wedding Photography - Colleen & Connor

Here it is… my last wedding of 2018. After all the rain we had this year we were planning for a rainy day wedding. Much to our surprise Colleen & Connor had the perfect December day wedding.

Colleen & Connor both got ready at the Radison Cross Keys in rooms just down the hall from each other. The girls had their hair and make-up done by two very talented artists. (Hair- Stacie Snyder Make-up Annie Ragot). They shared stories and advice from each of their weddings including to make sure to take some time to eat. Connor and the guys were down the hall learning to tie bow-ties. When I walked in I thought for a minute we would have a chip n dale wedding as Connor was standing there with his brother without a shirt and just a bow tie. Ah the art of Bow tying !

Colleen got dressed with her mom and her sister (Who bought her Wedding dress (Sottero & Midgley) for her !!! I mean can we say best sister EVER !!). The three of them getting a little emotional. She looked stunning and when her girls came in to see her their mouths dropped and tears fell from their eyes.

They had a beautiful ceremony at Immaculate Conception in Towson. It is a beautiful Catholic church and during their ceremony I watched at the light from the stained glass window danced around them and their guests. As Colleen was walking down the aisle Connor’s smile grew bigger and bigger. I love long aisles during weddings because you can see emotion changing in grooms as the bride walks down the aisle. He wasn’t the only one who got emotional. The bridesmaids were also wiping away tears from their cheeks as Colleen walked down the aisle.

After the ceremony we headed to the Mansion at Valley Country Club for their reception. The room was set up in pure elegance with Flowers by Wendy Carrol accenting the tables. We arrived just in time for the perfect golden light (and rare for 2018). Colleen & Connor were like models rocking out some stunning portraits. And then we tested the groomsmen. I like to see how much the groom trusts his friends… So we let him jump into their arms… and let them toss him around a bit… He survived and ironically would get thrown around a few more times that night !

The reception started off right with 20 minutes of dancing and an absolutely full dance floor. After dinner toasts from Colleen’s sister and brother that include examples of the epic dance moves from Colleen & Connor’s first night together. We’ll call it the airplane… The dancing continued all night long with a break for cake and donut from Fenwick Bakery and visits to zbooth.

When I asked Colleen what her favorite moment from the wedding was she said - “My favorite moments were saying our vows and dancing with our friends and family.”

While Connors favorite moment was “Seeing Colleen walking down the aisle for the first time. And when everyone came and joined us on the dance floor for the first time after our first dance.”

Colleen & Connor’s wedding was the perfect end to 2018 !
