Marriott Key Bridge Wedding - Sarah & Sasha - DC Wedding Photographer

Sometimes you think you know a couple… And then their wedding reception starts and your like… Holy Crap this is going to be a serious party… (Shout out the the hard working DJ and Bongo Drummer from Torrchez Entertainment? I spent ALOT of time with Sarah & Sasha traveling through DC for their engagement photos and they hid their mad dance skills from me! How dare they!

Seriously though, Sarah & Sasha’s wedding was the perfect way to kick off the 2019 wedding season. More then anything Sarah had hoped that their wedding day lined up with the Cherry Blossoms. The whole design of their wedding was based on these pretty pink flowers. As luck would have it on the day of their wedding there were pink flowers in bloom all around the hotel! So we were able to have their first look in front of some beautiful pink trees.

Sarah looked stunning with her hair and make-up done by Alison Harper and her team. (One of my favorite hair and make-up artists ! ) . While we were out at the Kennedy Center capturing some fabulous photos for Sarah, Sasha, and their wedding party Kelly with Wedding Ninja was making sure that everything was set up perfectly for the ceremony.

As guests came into the ceremony they picked up some popcorn as a quick snack before the main event. Their ceremony was officiated by friends of the couple Jackie & Larry. They did such a beautiful job allowing the couple to be in the moment. As I looked around the room you could see people pull out their tissues to dry their eyes while listening to Sarah & Sasha’s say their vows.

Once the music started the party started and it lasted the entire night. The party was going so hard that someone (cough cough Sarah) knocked down the arch over their table. It was such an amazing night with so much laughter, killer dance moves, and amazing friends and family!

When I asked Sarah & Sasha what their favorite moments were from the wedding they said it was so hard to choose. Exchanging their vows was important to both of them. Sarah loved the late night dancing and getting ready with her closest friends and family. Sasha really loved going to the Kennedy Center. And they both secretly loved the chuppah going down in style…
