Lake George Adventure Engagement Session - Adventure Wedding Photographer

When I first meet with couples I listen to hear their story. Find out the who, what, where’s and why’s that are important to them. And then I create their engagement session. For your wedding you are somewhat limited on what you can do but for your engagement session there is no limits. We can be creative, fun, and travel to places that matter to you.

This is exactly what we did for Katrina and Ben’s engagement session. In our initial chat Katrina told me how much her summers meant to her at Lake George when she was growing up. When Ben came into the picture she started bringing him to her special place on the Lake where both her parents own houses almost across the water from each other. He knew how special the place was to her and decided to propose to her at her dad’s Tiny House on Lake George.

Knowing that Lake George is so special to Katrina and Ben I knew we had to do their engagement shoot there. So that’s what we did. And we had an absolute blast! We started their morning with a stunning sunrise on the Lake with dunkin donuts coffee and bagels which quickly led to a nice fresh late fall morning swim in the lake.

These are all amazing so you would think that would be the end of their session right… wrong! It kept going! After the sunrise we hit a few other spots throughout the Ticonderoga area. We started with ice cream at their favorite place… where they somehow made a heart mixing their two flavors. Then we went in to town where they donned vintage attire with some of the older buildings! Oh and of course we got to ring the church bell at a beautiful old church on the hill!

At this point… it was time for lunch so Katrina and Ben invited me, my husband, and my two pups back to their tiny house on the lake for some homemade tomato soup and grilled cheese. After digesting that delicious meal it was time to get back in the water with some fun tubes!

After playing in the water it was time to warm up with a quick hike into the woods where Katrina had a surprise for Ben. This time… she would propose!

We finished the night with a delicious dinner with Ben & Katrina and my favorite dessert s’mores ! But that still wasn’t the end of their shoot!

We finished their shoot the next morning as Katrina and Ben literally took the plunge off a 20 foot cliff into the water. What a amazing shoot! I can’t wait for their wedding in March!
