Maybe it will be messy, maybe it will be chaotic, and maybe that’s exactly how it should be.

For almost 20 years I’ve been photographing weddings throughout the DMV (and around the world), and I’ve seen it all. As your wedding or elopement photographer, my job is to get you through that chaos mostly by photographing every little moment within a moment, but also sometimes by holding your hand, or taking you aside for a “quick portrait” so you can breathe. I’ll help your family loosen up during group photos, guide you through posing without making it feel stiff, and keep a 360-degree awareness of everything happening around us so your photos tell the true story of your day.

Above all else, remember this is your day and it is very important to me that you and your partner enjoy it. I am a heavy documentary wedding photographer but I also love capturing epic portraits that are the perfect art piece for your home. I will help you with your timeline to make sure that we maximize the party time and minimize the photo time. I have little tricks that I’ve perfected over the years for quick family photos and making sure you get to attend at least half of your cocktail hour (without a first look!).
